The automatic grinding machine is intended for grinding and polishing plates made from natural stone (granite, marble etc. ) in rectangular and similar form. Working area: 3200 mm x 3200 mm. Their operation is very simple. The grinding machines are production equipment. They are characterized by a stable construction, long life and reliability. The supporting construction of the machine is a steel frame, on which guide bars are installed. On them, the carriage with a spindle moves crosswise. The whole group moves on guide bars installed on concrete walls (movement along the machine).
The control system of the grinding machine enables manual and automatic work. The manual mode enables the movement of the head to any point of the working area. It is used for setting movements.
In the automatic mode the machine works according to a program in the programmable control unit FESTO. This enables the operation in one of 4 various movements:
A combination of the individual movements with the programmed number of cycles for each of them is possible. The working area is outlined by magnetic plates placed on the frame elements and cooperating with inductive distance sensors. A change in the width of the plates is connected with a shift in the location of the magnetic plates on the frame. The machine can operate on several plates at the same time (having worked one plate, it automatically goes over to another, having worked all the plates, it switches off).
The regulation of the head’s height is effected in two systems:
