Ten-head edge polisher B10KK2000

Many-head side cutting machine (10 heads) is designed to polish straight sides with chamfers of thickness 4 cm at one travel. For one operation one can use 10 slabs of various widths (with the same thickness to cut chamfers).
The device consists of two cooperating parts:

  • beam to move a carriage with heads (longitudinal travel),
  • a bench, on which cut slabs lie.

On a carriage the following devices are fixed:

  1. a set of horizontal heads (6 pieces),
  2. a set of heads fixed at an angle 45 o
  • from the top 2 pieces
  • from the bottom 2 pieces

 

Each of heads has an independent pneumatic drive (transverse travel, to pull out and move away slab, with possibility of regulation the pressure force).
Travel on a beam of a carriage with heads is carried on under control of wave inverter. It allows for a fluent start, stop, regulation of travel speed;
protection against overload, current decay – which protect mechanical system , lengthening the usability.
Cutting slabs in mechanical cycle is preceded by cycle “POMIAR –MEASUREMENT”, in which the machine measures length of slabs to be processed.
On entering data in a cycle POMIAR and setting head revolutions (sets 1- 10 can be selected) a longitudinal travel and flow of water start. Heads, touching protruding slabs are successively  pushed close, and at the end of slabs the heads are automatically and successively moved back. After cutting all slabs and traveling the carriage to the end of beam automatic cycle turns off, heads are moved away and revolutions are turned off. The work of machine is done according to program placed in the microprocessor Allen Bradley’s driver – collaborating with operator’s panel.
It influences the reliability of performed functions and gives the possibility to add them during program development.
